Itel P55+ First Impression: Itel P55+ is designed around three points. First – design, second – specifications, and third – target consumers and their needs. This shortcoming could have been forgiven if the price of the phone was less than Rs 8,000, but in the Rs 9,499 price range, we would expect a 5G smartphone from a brand like Itel.

Itel P55+ Design

What adds to the design of ITEL P55+ is its back, which has with vegan leather finish. The finish seen in the Royal Green color variant does not look cheap at all. It offers two color tones. The bottom part is slightly dark and has dotted lines. The power branding is also there and matches the color. There is a color light at the top so that the camera bump can be seen.

Itel P55+ Display

Itel P55+ has a 6.56-inch HD+ display, whose resolution is 720×1612 pixels. It offers a 90 Hz refresh rate, which will give a smooth feel to the users. Despite the HD+ resolution, the display impressed as colors appeared sharp. Visually we did not face any problem. I could read the e-paper comfortably. The color-contrast balance was good even in YouTube videos. However, there was some problem with the strong sunlight.

Itel P55+ Dynamic Bar

Titel P55+ has a dynamic island, which the brand has called Dynamic Bar. It is visible around the front camera, on which notifications like charging, and face unlock status are visible. This feature is a great feature of this phone and people may like it because even expensive Android devices do not have the feature of dynamic island.

Itel P55+ Processor

Itel P55+ is equipped with a Unisoc T606 Octa Core processor with iboost. Also has 8GB RAM. With the help of the Virtual RAM feature, RAM can be expanded up to 8GB. Unisock processors are being used in all Itel phones. Talking about performance, Itel P55+ was performing fine in initial use. However, the power of the phone cannot be judged so quickly. At this price, the option of 256 GB storage can attract people.

Itel P55+ Camera

The phone has a 50-megapixel dual AI camera. An 8-megapixel selfie camera is provided. The camera app has modes like Beauty, Portrait, and Super Night. There is also a separate mode for short videos. The phone’s camera does not take 50MP photos by default. For high-resolution images, one has to switch to Ultra mode. 30fps 1080P videos can be recorded from the back camera.

Itel P55+ Battery

Itel P55+ has a 5000mAh battery. To charge it, a 45W charger is available in the box. The brand claims that the phone’s battery becomes 25% full in 10 minutes and from zero to 100% full in 72 minutes. During initial use, we found the battery to be powerful, but time is needed to find out its actual performance.

Itel P55+ Summary

Itel P55+ comes in a red-colored box. Along with this, a 45W charger adapter, a Type-A to Type-C cable, a transparent TPU case, SIM ejector pin are available. After seeing the phone at first glance, one cannot believe that it is a phone worth under Rs 10,000. Titel P55+ has two circular camera bumps and the LED flash is placed next to it.

The power button and volume rocker are provided on the right side of the phone. There is a SIM tray on the left side. We did not find any port at the top. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack, Type-C port, and single speaker grill at the bottom. The most important thing is that it does not leave fingerprints.

There was no damage even after scratching with nails. There is a punch hole in the middle of the phone’s display. The display chin was better at the top, but a little thick at the bottom. The phone is lightweight. I was able to use it with one hand without any problem.
